ABSTRACT

ZrO2 NPs were used for the multi-component synthesis of functionalized 4H-pyrimido [2,1-b] benzothiazole in aqueous alcohol as a green solvent, which efficiently performed for a good catalytic activity up to 4th cycles of synthesized product. Green strategies have proven the non-hazardous, non-toxic and inexpensive; competing for high yield, reusability, short reaction time and simple workup procedure. The nucleophilic attack to carbon-hetero multiple bond of α, β unsaturated carbonyl ester and intra-molecular cyclisation was carried out to high yield. The structure of products was substantiated by 1HNMR, 13CNMR and Mass spectrometry. The synthesized ZrO2 NPs were characterized by XRD, FTIR and UV-Visible spectra.
